New site: Aeroleds
By admin on Friday, July 30th, 2010 4:24 pm
The new aeroleds.com launched this week! Aeroleds is a Boise-based company that designs and makes LED-based aviationlighting (i.e., they make LED lights for planes).
Now, we built the original site awhile back, but we’ve been salivating to add some of our latest tools that we knew would really improve the end user experience. Their product description pages are a lot easier to navigate for site visitors, and easier to maintain on the back-end. Aeroleds can quickly post their latest product information for their customers without being web experts. It’s a great new site and we’re really proud of the way it turned out!

New site: OEC
By Wyatt Werner on Friday, July 2nd, 2010 10:17 am
We’ve launched a site for is OEC office furniture this week. They wanted a clean, modern look with lots of image galleries. The coolest part about this site is that the bulk of the furniture listings aren’t entered manually, but are piped in from their vendors. We built a tool that grabs the feed of that information and lets OEC to choose what products to display, what description and images to use, and allows them to add their own information to the listing as well. That way, OEC doesn’t have to upload their content manually, but they still have control of what is displayed on the page.
The other cool feature is a login protected area that allows some of OEC’s larger customers to view their own catalogs and prices. It’s a pretty slick site.

Tech Alliance
By Wyatt Werner on Thursday, June 17th, 2010 8:49 pm
It’s good that two tech groups are joining heads to get Idaho’s software development industry booming. Hey, why not. There’s too much woulda/shoulda/coulda going on in economic development, so the more industry groups can combine forces and talent, the better.
Am I the only one who’s never heard of the Idaho Software Employers Alliance (ISEA)? I’m no software employer, so that likely has formidable influence on my ignorance on this one. I guess my biggest hope is that I hear of them from here on out. I hope they’re good leaders, and I hope I hear not only their accomplishments but also their calls to action.
